Veronica (Ronnie) and Omar knew from the start, their celebration would be different. Instead of choosing between an elopement or a traditional wedding, they chose both. What followed was a two year wedding experience planned and designed by JunePlumm Events. It began at the Looking Glass Falls in North Carolina in 2024 and culminated with a cinematic reveal at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, New York in 2025.
Let me explain.
A Waterfall Elopement at Looking Glass Falls in Brevard, NC
For their elopement, Ronnie and Omar wanted a waterfall backdrop somewhere in the United States that required less than a three hour flight and minimal hiking. Ease was important. After extensive research, we selected Looking Glass Falls in Brevard, North Carolina. A stunning natural setting that felt expansive yet accessible.
So, on August 14, 2024, Ronnie, Omar, myself, and approximately 15 of their closest confidants traveled to North Carolina for a 7am ceremony. Because Looking Glass Falls is a popular attraction, we opted for an early morning wedding to preserve intimacy and avoid the crowds.
It was quiet, emotional and unforgettable.

A dream
A Cinematic Wedding Anniversary Reveal in Queens, NY
The Museum of the Moving Image in Queens,NY offered something no traditional venue could. A theater.
Exactly one year later, on August 14, 2025, we celebrated their one year anniversary in a way their guests never saw coming.
Guests were welcomed into the museum’s theater, given popcorn, and invited to take their seats. What they thought was an opening presentation turned into a cinematic reveal of Ronnie and Omar’s waterfall elopement followed by a full wedding ceremony.
The reaction was immediate. Shock, emotion, and pure joy filled the room.

Designing a Wedding That Reflected Both Experiences
We were intentional about carrying the essence of the waterfall elopement into the full wedding production. Every detail was designed to echo the intimacy and emotion of the original elopement so guests could feel what it was like to be there, even if they weren’t.
This wasn’t about recreating the moment. It was about honoring it.

A Wedding Designed Without Rules
Ronnie and Omar didn’t choose between an elopement or a traditional wedding. They designed a wedding experience that reflected who they are. One thoughtful and personal and one unapologetically unique.
