A common misconception amongst many brides is, a Venue Coordinator will take care of everything. Because i’m sure the banquet manager told you “oh, you don’t need a planner, we will take care of ALL of your needs”. Let me be the first to tell you, a Venue Coordinator will not take care of all of your needs.

For instance, let’s break down what all your needs “doesn’t” mean:
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to help you decide between white or ivory envelops with gold foil printing for your wedding invitation suite.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to leave the venue to come to your “getting ready” location to help you steam your dress or stage your room for photos.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to manage your RSVP’s.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to help you decide which song to enter the reception space to.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to help you select fabulous linen.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to contact all of your top choice photographers to confirm availability and cost.

- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to help you decide between the sling backs or the peep toe shoes.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to design your stationery suite with your stationer.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to keep you on track throughout the entire planning process.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to sneak engagement photos to your MOH so she can display them at your Bridal Shower.
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to nudge your groom/bride to buy a special wedding gift or write a super sappy love note
- No, the Venue Coordinator is not going to scream YAAAAAASSSS while you are taking your engagement photos
The Venue Coordinator will not take care of ALL of your needs
The venue assigned Coordinator is there to coordinate on behalf of the venue, NOT the couple. They will assist in pointing you in the direction on the wedding day. They will accompany you to walk down the aisle. He/She will assist with meals and service. Is that all you need?
No.
Do not assume taking care of ” all of your needs” actually means ” taking care of ALL of your needs”. It means, perform venue specific tasks on your wedding day.
